Skipper Requirements:
1) A.S.A. Basic Keelboat Certification is one of the requirements before independent sailing is permitted on the SailTime fleet. This requires scoring a minimum of 80% on the written exam (ASA BKB Standards) and 100% during the on-the-water skills demonstration.

2) ASA BKB certification does not adequately validate knowledge and skills required to operate a 33' auxiliary vessel. Additional SailTime Skipper Requirements will ensure your confident and safe sailing in your local waters. Demonstration of judgment and abilities described in the SailTime Atlanta Skipper skills training plan will be the final requirement prior to independent sailing.
